Yep, it’s the holidays. Like, tomorrow. And we at Click! want to make that as easy as possible for you, because we’re awesome like that. Here are some ideas for lovely hostess gifts in case you’re lucky enough to not host Thanksgiving this year. And that, my friends, is certainly something to be thankful for.
Lovely cheese plates from JK Adams. $14 each, or three for $38
The prettiest wine carafe ever! Pair it with a bottle of wine from Bin 41, and you won’t even have to leave the Junction. Done! $34
Also vino-related, these Wine Tagz from Modern Twist are a classy way to keep track of your glass. Write your name with a ball point pen or dry erase marker, and then rub them clean for use at the next soiree. A set of 6 is $15

Linen tea towels from local artist Dinah Coops — silk screened with love in Seattle. Each $24
Santa Lucia ornaments from Roost. These are just as lovely on the tree as they are on the table — use them for gift or name tags! Small box of 12 $18, large box of 27 $42.
100% soy candles from Lotta Jansdotter. Long lasting, clean burning, and modern designs. $24
A few more ideas:

It’s getting cold out there.
Have you ever come in from the outdoor bluster and just not been able to shake off the chill? I have three words for you…Hot Water Bottle, or Hottie as we call them in our house. When I was a kid my Nana cured everything with a Hottie and a cup of tea. (Never mind that we lived in Southern California and not in “merry old England”.) Anyway, we have Hotties in at Click! and they are sooo cozy.

Made in Boston by the folks at Simplemente Blanco, Hotties are snuggled in a handmade soft wool cover, white or or dark heathered grey. $46

Yesterday the Seattle Times reported that during last December’s snow storm the mayor’s neighborhood received “preferential treatment” from the snow plows. As it turns out, Mayor Nickels lives just a couple blocks from Click!, and last night Deborah Horne from KIRO TV interviewed Frances (“a jewelry designer in West Seattle”) in the store. She set the record straight — California Ave north of Admiral was basically unplowed for much of the storm — and looked great on the 11 o’clock news. At this time there isn’t any video on the KIROTV website.

Thank you all for making your way out to Click! throughout 2008 and especially during “Holiday Snowpocalypse — Revenge of the Flurries”. John and I wish you all much joy and merrimaking.

The original holiday hours post has fallen pretty low on this page, so here’s an update. We are open today and tomorrow, December 22 and 23rd, 11am until 7pm. The 24th we’re staying open until 3pm, or until the guys doing their last minute shopping stop coming in, whichever comes first (last year it was around 5pm).
We’ll be closed the 25th and 26th for Christmas and Boxing Day, and will be closed again New Year’s Day (and will close early — 3pm — on the 31st).
Since we live so close to the store, we are always open on snow days!

Click! is open today, despite the weather that seems to be shutting down much of our town. So bundle up and come on down… we’ll have coffee and hot cocoa. The snow plow just went by, and cars seem to be going down California Ave with no problems. We plan to go ahead with our open house tonight, which you can read about in our newsletter (subscribe here).
Added bonus: the special tonight (scheduled from 6 to 9pm) is a $5 gift card for Mission with every purchase over $50 and 15% off all purchases over $100, but we’ve decided to make that an all day thing. No telling when we might pop that first bottle of prosecco!

The local snow flurries and chilly weather are not slowing us down. Even up here at the top of the hill, the roads are pretty clear, and it’s warm and cheery in the store.
