Shelli’s birds

We’re happy to have Shelli Markee back as our featured artist in January! Shelli is the talented creator of the head-turning wire birds that are floating through the ether of Click!’s upper walls.

Shelli will be bring new work, including small wire drawings that are backed with wood and framed as small vignettes.  We are also giving her the display room to fill with an installation of her linear, feathered friends, so be sure to check out our window display mid-week to see the transformation!

Please join us for West Seattle’s Artwalk next Thursday, January 12th, from 6-9 to meet Shelli and take in her newest menagerie of wire birds.

Jonathan Adler Owl S&P shakers regularly $48 sale $38

We should also mention that our January sale continues through MLK day!  We have some fantastic deals on many of our best sellers, including Jonathan Adler, Highway, and Alchemy Goods.  Now’s the time to snag those little lovelies you coveted for yourself while you were shopping for friends & family!

Taste good and do good.

The “taste good” part is a visit by Rebecca Staffel, proprietess of Deluxe Foods. Wow! She recently visited Click! on her way to help with the grape harvest for an upcoming jelly she was creating. A few tastes later, we were convinced, and Click! now carries a selection of her beautiful jars of taste sensational fruit concoctions that you can sample Thursday night. Rebecca has also promised to to bring a small collection of brand new cocktail syrups – pour into a glass of sparkling wine or water and you’ve got instant “festive beverage” and who doesn’t need that right about now?

The “do good” part of the evening involves a visit from Arts Corps. Click! will donate 10% of all sales during Art Walk to this fabulous local non-profit organization that brings art education and opportunity to youth who might otherwise not have access. Arts Corps will have volunteers on hand to tell us about their programs, give out information and accept donations. Several other West Seattle businesses will have a charitable component to their evening; please see the Art Walk blog and Facebook page for more details.

Our featured artist is Rachel Austin. See a preview of her beautiful map-inspired paintings by clicking the image below.

Sustainable sushi at Mashiko

If there’s one thing we like as much as good design, it’s good sushi. Fortunately, we’re lucky enough to be right down the block from the best sushi in Seattle, Mashiko restaurant.

Tonight during West Seattle Art Walk and Shop Late Thursdays, Mashiko is rolling out some happy hour specials. If you make a purchase at Click! tonight, show your receipt at Mashiko (paper or smart phone if we email your receipt to you) and receive a complimentary order of edamame!

This should be a great night to spend in West Seattle with so many of the shops open late and what promises to be a particularly good Art Walk. Shopping + Art + Sushi = Love.

Sarah Loertscher Trunk Show

We’re looking forward to the first week in September!  Our very own Sarah Loertscher is taking over the store, filling it with her drawings, prints, new installation work, and very new jewels from her latest collection, the F-series.

Fe is the symbol for iron, the element at the heart of her steel collection. Sarah’s clean, angular forms are cut and folded from mild steel to create light, faceted structures. Some of these edgy steel jewels have the addition of 18k gold to starkly contrast with the steel; others are studded with punchy colors of glass beads: aqua, orange, and magenta.

The details:

Thursday, September 1st 6-9pm — opening reception

Saturday, September 3rd 11-5 — trunk show

Mark your calendar — it should be a rockin’ show!

Effervescent Art paired nicely with Dry Soda @ Click! tonight.

The lovely monoprints by Dawn Endean are still enlivening the walls at Click! Make sure to see the Scroll Series that she created specially for us. The rich colors bring summer into any room and are accessibly priced.

sm $80, med $250, lg $350.

You also won’t want to miss the Dry Soda Truck in front of Click! (It’s pretty hard to miss actually.) The folks from Dry will lead you through a Dry Soda Flight to find your favorite flavor. Don’t forget to ask how your beverage experience can benefit the forward thinking Farestart program.

btw, have you heard that the Shopping Trolleys at Click! are still 20% off? that makes them a cool $39. Good thing, because as soon as you’re done tasting all the Dry Soda flavs you’re going to need that trolley to pick up a couple of packs of the delicious beverages from a local purveyor. See you tonight!

June Art Walk – Dawn Endean

Meet our June artist Dawn Endean!  Dawn is a local Seattle artist who will be displaying an elegant collection of her monotypes & mixed media prints for the months of June & July.

Dawn’s work is informed by her studies in archaeology and biology. She explores patterns that occur repeatedly in nature at both micro and macro levels — her interest lies in the structural components of bones and branches, cells and seeds.  Dawn began taking classes at Pratt Fine Art Center, and has become an integral part of Seattle’s print community.

Join us on the West Seattle Art Walk this Thursday from 6-9 to meet the artist, and enjoy Click!’s late night ambiance including beverages by Dry Soda, nibbles, and of course many new Click! items.  Dawn’s work will be on display from June 9th — July 31st.  Come visit!
