Shop Late with Alchemy Goods this Thursday Dec. 1st

Brett from Alchemy Goods will be joining us at Click! for Shop Late Thursday, December 1st from 6 to 9pm. He has assured us that he’ll have plenty of bags that you haven’t yet seen at Click! and of course all the favorites.

the Ravenna, $98 • one of the best selling bags we carry

Mission statement by Alchemy Goods: “Turning useless into useful”. In AG’s SODO studio this means upcycling used bike tire inner tubes for a second go ’round as great looking handbags, wallets, laptop bags, backpacks and more. These hardworking, stylish bags stand the test of time (again) and keep whatever you need to tote safe and sound. Although this time of year, their greatest feature may be that they are a great gift for both guys and gals!

the Pike, $138 • a new and welcome addition to Click!’s collection.

Elliott Dopp Kit, $32 • so much classier than a ziplock bag.

This is the 4th of seven Junction Shop Late Thursday events before the holidays. Don’t miss out on the fun. Most shops are open until 9pm with specials and events all evening. Stroll around and get festive! Check here for a full list of Click!’s line up.

Did I mention that beverages will be provided by Alchemy’s SODO neighbors DRY Soda? Keep it local!

Gleena ceramics

rustic bowl $34

We’re in love with the porcelain ceramics of Gleena (which means clay in Russian).  The woman behind Gleena is Asya Palatova, a Russian native who grew up spending lengthy summers at her family dacha, a Russian country house.  Surrounded by her grandmother’s carefully tended gardens and apple trees, the dacha proved to be an source of endless inspiration for Asya’s simple, organic shapes.

large organic bowl $56

Asya’s porcelain tableware is all handmade in her Rhode Island studio.  We love her delicious, sherbet-y colors and sweet, simple decals.  Her images range from flowers and romantic lettering to tiny forks and spoons.

tall boat vase $148

Roger Shurtleff at Click! for the WS Artwalk

Our friend Stephanie Hargrave recently introduced us to Roger Shurtleff and we are so grateful! He is a really stand up guy, a solid artist and as a result of our introduction he is our featured artist for May.

Roger tends to paint a series of pieces around a theme before changing out his brushes and paints to approach another idea or story. We checked out pieces from several of his series. I was struck by the way he is able to reference previous imagery but make it completely relevant in its new context. There is a graceful evolution about his paintings.

We will have work from Ghostland.

Flyover   16 x 16″

We will also have his latest series, Tools of the Trade.

Finisher   12 x 12″

Join us for the West Seattle Artwalk, Thursday May 14 from 6 to 9pm. We’ll open some bubbly, have some bites and chat with Roger. Oh…you can also do some shopping and perhaps even aquire one of Roger’s paintings.
