Brett from Alchemy Goods will be joining us at Click! for Shop Late Thursday, December 1st from 6 to 9pm. He has assured us that he’ll have plenty of bags that you haven’t yet seen at Click! and of course all the favorites.

the Ravenna, $98 • one of the best selling bags we carry
Mission statement by Alchemy Goods: “Turning useless into useful”. In AG’s SODO studio this means upcycling used bike tire inner tubes for a second go ’round as great looking handbags, wallets, laptop bags, backpacks and more. These hardworking, stylish bags stand the test of time (again) and keep whatever you need to tote safe and sound. Although this time of year, their greatest feature may be that they are a great gift for both guys and gals!
the Pike, $138 • a new and welcome addition to Click!’s collection.
Elliott Dopp Kit, $32 • so much classier than a ziplock bag.
This is the 4th of seven Junction Shop Late Thursday events before the holidays. Don’t miss out on the fun. Most shops are open until 9pm with specials and events all evening. Stroll around and get festive! Check here for a full list of Click!’s line up.
Did I mention that beverages will be provided by Alchemy’s SODO neighbors DRY Soda? Keep it local!

Several months ago, Frances went to one of our local indie craft fairs to look for artists who might be a good fit for the store. She hit the jackpot with Rachel Austin, a full time artist living just a three hour drive south of us in Portland, Oregon. Rachel brought us a nice collection of her paintings for our 5 year anniversary last month, and we’ve sold most of them. She was nice enough to box up a few more pieces that just arrived:

Ralph 5x5 $70

Brenton 8x8 $90
Rachel’s paintings begin with a wood block frame (that she builds herself) and a map. She then layers her paints on top of the map; usually sweet depictions of birds and paper airplanes. Her paintings have a beauty and a simplicity that has been resonating with us and almost everyone who walks in the door.
Saturday, November 21 from 6 to 9 PM, she will be joining us for an artist reception and promises to bring more new work, including some larger pieces and some based on Northwest maps. Mark your calendar! Art makes a great gift, and her work is very accessibly priced.

You know what we love? We love that five years ago we had this crazy idea to lease a storefront and fill it with things we love, and that five years later people are still coming in the door telling us how much they love it too! So what we’re thinking is… let’s have a party!

Friday, October 2nd, 6 — 9 pm We’ll pop a few bottles with bubbles and have a tower of treats from Splendid Cupcake. Share your Click! stories with friends and neighbors and do a little shopping: we are giving away a free Roost botanical glass with every purchase (while supplies last, starting at 6pm) and putting all Smersh Design jewelry on sale: 25% off!! which will last all weekend — through Sunday.
More than anything, we want to thank YOU, our awesome Click! peeps, for getting what it is that we do and loving it. We love you too, and we are thrilled to be doing what we do.
Don’t miss the West Seattle Blog exclusive interview with John and Frances, complete with amusing anecdotes about 10/1/04…

May (detail). Actual piece 12 x 12
Gail Howard will be our August artist. You can check her work out here, but don’t miss her West Seattle Artwalk opening at Click! from 6 to 9pm on Thursday, August 13th. Her paintings really must be seen in person to be appreciated and beside that you’ll enjoy having a glass of wine and chatting with her. She’s been a Click! customer for ages and we are really excited to have both her and her work in the store.

West Seattle Blog coverage of GOTR, August 1st.
Also, try to catch those Girls on the Run from 6 to 9pm on Thursday August 27th! While tasting several lovely sparkling wine selections, you can find out about this excellent nonprofit and it’s mission to “Educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.” Click! will donate 10% of all sales during the event to Girls on the Run – pretty good motivation to do a little shopping. Gail’s work will still be at Click! if you aren’t able to make her opening.

Click! is open today, despite the weather that seems to be shutting down much of our town. So bundle up and come on down… we’ll have coffee and hot cocoa. The snow plow just went by, and cars seem to be going down California Ave with no problems. We plan to go ahead with our open house tonight, which you can read about in our newsletter (subscribe here).
Added bonus: the special tonight (scheduled from 6 to 9pm) is a $5 gift card for Mission with every purchase over $50 and 15% off all purchases over $100, but we’ve decided to make that an all day thing. No telling when we might pop that first bottle of prosecco!
