Girls on the Run
This Thursday night, August 27th from 6 to 9 pm, we are hosting a sparkling wine tasting at Click! to benefit Girls on the Run of Puget Sound. Sip some bubbly and learn about this fantastic program. We will be donating 10% of all sales that evening to Girls on the Run. Our featured artist, Gail Howard, will also be donating 10% of the sale of her paintings!
Girls on the Run "operates an afterschool prevention program that uses the power of running to educate and prepare preteen girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living." On the surface, it is about fitness and running, but at its core it is a way to give young girls self-confidence and positive self-image. They are adding two new after school programs in West Seattle this fall, and we are thrilled to be able to support them in this way. They are also looking for female volunteer coaches, find out how to get involved here.
A local wine rep will be on hand to facilitate the tasting, and to let you know where our featured wines are available locally. We hope you will join us to taste a few bubbles on a summer evening, do some shopping, and support our local girls!
